The relationships between humans and toys have always been enemies. Already four years ago John Lasseters showed with great technical effort by the home Pixar directed animated film Toy Story, how brutal it really is in the nursery: As soon as they are unobserved, the toys awake like the brownies and live their own lives – with his competitive struggles and identity crises looks very similar to ours. And since these toys also have real feelings, people are their biggest threat. In the first part it was the neighbor boy Sid, a destructive character, who fancifully let out his destructive instinct on the toys of his friend Andy.
Even in Toy Story 2, the toy can only rely on itself. Because when Cowboy Woody, already one of the main characters of the first part, one day is damaged while playing, his owner Andy reacts with short-term love withdrawal.
